Brooke was practically born on the stage in 1980. She was the daughter of Bruce and Maggie Phillips of "One Plus One", a duo who did well in the Houston area in the 1970's. At six months old, you could play Brooke a song on the guitar, and she could immediately distinct between a happy or sad song. She could truly feel the music. By the age of 2, she was already handling the microphone and hopping up whenever she could to sing along with anything. At six years old, she made her debut on stage. In the mean-time, her brother picked up the drum sticks, and by the time he was 10, they formed a duo and played to youth groups and various places around town, making quite a little name for themselves. In her teens, she won two vocalist competitions, and subsequently ended up on local TV, as well as singing backup for various local bands. Her influences ranged anywhere from English Literature, Poetry, and Pre-Raphalite art, to The Beatles and McCartney, Fogelberg, Stevie Nicks and Sarah Brightman, to Muddy Waters, SRV, and Etta James. In her early twenties, illness slowed down her dream of pursuing her singing career, and she met her wonderful husband and collaborator, guitarist Adam Walton. Having recovered, she is now releasing her cd, "Through The Ages", and living out her dream ...

Tania Moran ~ singer ~ NSW, Australia

Tania Moran is a well known Australian singer who is respected in the music industry for her angelic voice, professionalism and high standard of performance.

" I'm very passionate about children. They are such precious, pure spirits and we have a duty to be as kind to them and respectful of them as we can possibly be. "Ricky" on my album Sanctity is written as something for parents to think about.

I love animals dearly too. It's wonderful to see that new legislation has just been brought in to Australia that will prohibit sale of animals in pet shops and at markets and fairs. People will be able to buy animals from registered breeders, animal pounds and shelters or their local vet. Prospective owners will be matched with an animal and provided with detailed written information about its special needs and requirements. I have bought animals from pet shops in the past but I am one of those few people who will do whatever it takes to find all the information to ensure a safe, happy, healthy, loving environment for the animal.

I'm also passionate about living a meaningful and peaceful life and being all that I can possibly be. Love and honesty are very important to me too. I also love the freedom of living the life I choose to live and I respect the way others live their lives too.

One of my favourite sayings is "Be the change that you want to see in the world."

I think it's important not to compare yourself to anyone. There are certainly people who I would consider to be good role models for me and I use them for inspiration. But if you spend too much time comparing yourself to others, you're really doomed to failure. I respect so many other artists and appreciate their unique, amazing talents. When I was a teenager, I was so discouraged by the beautiful, incredible singers that were out there because I thought that I could never match up to what they were. But then one day I realised that it doesn't matter about anyone else. You have to see the value in your own gifts and realise that everyone has something to give, no matter who you are. All you can do is be the best you can be.

As an artist, people like to know who I am like so they can get an idea of the kind of music I do. Vocally, I'm often compared to Olivia Newton-John and Tina Arena. My music is quite atmospheric. Sade, Seal, Dido, Jem are all artists that I could be compared to.." Tania Moran 2008.

The Safety Girls ~ USA

Shannon, Monique, Megan, and Elene have a passion for music and helping kids. They sing in the school choirs and volunteer their services helping kids at their churches. Because of all the tragedies going on in the world involving kids, they saw a need for teaching safety. Thinking that if kids could only be made aware of what they could do in a given situation, some of these tragedies could be avoided. What better way than to combine the two main interests in their lives - singing and helping kids. This is how the group, the Safety Girls, was born. The sound is derived from a combination of Rap and R & B music emerging from some of the girls’ favorite artists popular today. Music can convey a message in an entertaining and fun way; and, if it’s catchy it will be memorable. Kids need to know about the basics of safety like calling 911; what to do in case of a fire; electricity precautions; using seatbelts; and stranger awareness. These can be very dry topics but the girls feel if they are presented in a creative way kids will listen. The Safety Girls want kids to become aware of safety measures and what better way than through songs? “I know that when I was a kid I loved to learn through music,” says affable California girl, Monique, who started singing at an early age. “I think we will be making a huge, positive impact in many young lives.” High-spirited Megan is very enthusiastic about the project saying “the music is like any hit pop song but the lyrics talk about safety.” She thinks that “since the music is really music of today, it will get children to want to listen to it.” The group is in the studio recording their first album. With the fresh sound of *TSG* (the nickname the growing number of fans are giving them on their E-messages), the Safety Girls are ready for success. They enjoy the best of both worlds with singing R & B and teaching kids about safety. Together, the girls have created a new and unique “Safety Girls” sound. From inception to near completion of their first album, the Safety Girls are primed and ready to get their message across to the many kids and families all over the world. They are diligently rehearsing an act, learning choreography, and fine-tuning vocals to get ready for their first performance. They are very excited about actually meeting their fans and getting to know them.
